Former Infantryman here. While the price tag may make you pause, this is a definite “buy once cry once” situation. Having had experienced the IOTV gen 1-4 all the way to the new MSV systems and some Crye/first spear options, I have to say this carrier to me is neck and neck in terms of comfort and load bearing with the coveted Crye AVS. However, I think the ARCs modularity and base weight gives it a clear edge above. This is NOT a “slick” carrier incapable of supporting the needs of actual protracted operations. This is a solution capable of carrying armor, 7+ magazines, sustainment, NAV, breaching equipment, and comms equipment required of a warfighter or even just a prepared citizen with ease and comfort, this is the very best option available on the market currently in my humble opinion. Thank you Shaw team for such a great solution!

Out of all the plate carriers I’ve worn (Crye AVS, SPC, JPC-R series, North American Rescue Responder Ballistic PPE, Gen 2 and Gen 3 USMC carriers), this is the absolute best. The spider system is amazing to route comms through, and has the plate bag conform to the plate. The swappable shoulder strap (by Velcro) is amazing for us lefties, the angle of departure for the shoulders is great. The only thing this doesn’t do well, and at no fault to its own, is hold a USMC issued plate AND soft armor together due to the USMC making the soft armor an entire size larger than the actual plate. I was able to get around it by having smaller soft armor go in, but it’s PRETTY snug. Overall, would buy again.. and probably will.

Well-made, if a bit tight. I recommend leaving the elastic on the looser end.

I first bought your admin pounch with the intention of carrying all of my pens, map pens, eraser pens, and similar items. Unfortunately, the admin pouch's shape did not give itself enough internal space to carry the items I needed. I think it is also important to note my billet. I am currently the Weapons Platoon commander (Fire Support Team Leader) in which I must utilize my map and map plotting items much more often than my rifle/magazines (but I still need those too). The nerd pouch was the right shape in order to carry the length of the map pens and other such items. This allows me to have a free cargo pocket as well. I can now carry pogy bait in my cargo pocket (trust me. this actually matters to me. We don't stop often enought to eat an entire MRE at times) and shovel my face as we move. Thank you for making good stuff. Your products give us more than simply a product. Your products have second, third, and fourth order effects.

Very happy with how these feel. No increased bulk but additional comfort. They solve the sharp edge problem of the cummerbund which is a plus. Just remember you’re losing two molle rows so plan accordingly. Excellent product

Bottom line, the absolute best upgrade for the MSV. It’s what the MSV should have came with, running the elastic shock cord in the back gives the slight expansion as you breath in and returns when you exhale. It’s still rigid enough so slide plate bags won’t sag. Also how it’s constructed you can run molle pouches on the inside and outside of the cummerbund. To run the tubes (with the MSV), you’ll need some Velcro adapter either AXL or Unobtanium Gear though. If you’re looking to dump your issued MSV cummerbund buy this you won’t regret it.

The most comfortable plate carrier I’ve ever worn. The arc shoulder pads and stratusfit pc pads are absolute game changers.

It have a everything you mostly need in a ifak, great start and may need few things to put in it to fit it to you or the job.

Had to source a single AR mag insert from a different company to set it up how I wanted but it’s working great. I currently have the placard on an issued JPC knockoff, all though it wasn’t made for my specific plate carrier, it works fine. Will eventually upgrade to Shaw’s carrier and it would be even better. Great system.

Fantastic insert. Strong retention and I love the strong side and bottom paneling, allowing the insert to retain its shape. Great product from Shaw, as usual from what ive seen so far.

Fantastic placard if youre wanting to run a quad mag 5.56. I use this on an Agilite K19 carrier and it works great!!!
