The ARC Side Buckets are designed to allow the addition of Side Plates, Soft Armor, Mags, GP Inserts, and the sort to be mounted to the inside of the ARC Cummerbund V2 or other three-band-style cummerbunds with Loop Velcro® on the inner side. Added side comfort is a feature with the inclusion of Closed-Cell Foam on the inner side and a soft stretch fabric making the outer construction of the bucket. The ARC Side Bucket can use the ARC Side Cap to accept a variety of Side Armor Plates.

ARC Side Bucket Set
I have the side buckets together with the sidecaps.
They are a great way to comfortably mount side plates independent of their thickness (I got1.1 inch thick lvl 4 side plates in 6x6) and it is cool to have the option to use larger side plates.
I tried softarmor panels I had laying around that fit okay, but my issue here is that the width of the potential side armor can not cover plate to plate even with the Shaw Specific inserts.
The other issue is that if I put the sideplate up to the front plate the potential space in the bucket for other gear is out of my reach and if I put a e.g. magazine sized object in the front the side plate moves further back then I would like.
For radios I am afraid that the radio could overheat.
I think I would prefer the side buckets to not have individual padding built in but rather a loop field like the Cumberbund (I got the s-lok 5 inch wide) so I can still use my stratus pads.
I have been using these daily for a few months now and they are very well made. Easy-ish to install, soft lining. be aware that although it says on the site they fit certain plate sizes, some might not fit perfectly, and if you're looking for the best fit then you should purchase the armor their proprietary armor for the side buckets.
Very happy with how these feel. No increased bulk but additional comfort. They solve the sharp edge problem of the cummerbund which is a plus. Just remember you’re losing two molle rows so plan accordingly. Excellent product
